The Westoba Credit Union Masters Super League will have to wait another week to crown this year’s league champion.
Power issues delayed yesterday’s quarterfinals at the Brandon Curling Club, pushing the semifinal and finals to next Wednesday.
In Wednesday’s quarterfinals, Larry Fischer’s rink upset the No. 1 seed Paul Kruk 4-2, meanwhile Murray Warren’s team beat Jim Renwick 6-3, Morley Walker beat Al Fitzmaurice 5-4 and Murray Jorgensen won 7-6 over Gerry Haight’s rink.
That sets up next Wednesday’s semifinals in which Warren plays Fischer and Jorgensen faces Walker at 10 a.m.
Semifinal winners will play at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday for the league title.
Warren’s team of Brian Barker, Terry Warren and Reg Warren are the reigning league champions.
