WOMAN ARRESTED FOR BREACHING CURFEW
Early on Monday morning, Brandon Police Service (BPS) officers arrested a 35-year-old woman during a routine traffic stop check on a taxi carrying the woman. She was found to be in violation of a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew order, which she was found to have violated earlier on Jan. 18 as well. The woman was held in detention and attended court on Monday.
WOMAN ARRESTED ON OUTSTANDING WARRANT

A 41-year-old woman was arrested by officers on Sunday morning when officers arrived at a residence to attend to an unrelated matter. The woman was found to have an outstanding warrant of arrest, which was executed by officers. She was later released with a court appearance notice for March 20 in Dauphin.
WOMAN ARRESTED FOR THEFT
A 30-year-old woman was accused on Sunday of stealing about $100 worth of merchandise from a store located on the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. She was located and arrested by police officers later and released with an undertaking and court date of March 24.
MULTIPLE ARRESTS MADE FOR DRUGS, WEAPONS POSSESSION
BPS officers made multiple arrests over the weekend, including during routine traffic stops. In the first instance, officers flagged down a car with two male occupants, aged 50 and 30. Officers also found the vehicle was registered to a 33-year-old woman. However, upon checking the 30-year-old driver failed to provide a licence. The two were arrested after police also found open liquor in the vehicle. A further search also revealed more liquor, three bags of cocaine, pre-packaged bags of methamphetamine totalling 12 grams, 115 T3’s, $1,010 in cash, a digital scale, packaging material and cellphones. The 30-year-old male is facing multiple charges of drugs and firearms possession, among others. He attended court on Sunday morning. The other man arrested was released later without charges.
As part of the investigation, officers executed a search warrant of the residence of the arrested male, 30, located on the 1200 block of Ninth Street. Another man, 24, said to be known to the accused was seen at the residence and later left in the same cab he had arrived in earlier. A traffic stop was conducted on the 400 block of 10th Street and the man was arrested after a search by officers produced 19 grams of cocaine, two grams of meth, $40 and a cellphone. He was also charged with drug trafficking and drug possession and later released with an April 10 court date.
The Organized Crime Section of the BPS continued with its investigation early on Sunday morning at the residence in question with a search warrant and found another five people inside the residence, including the woman who was the registered owner of the vehicle flagged down by officers earlier. During the search of the residence, officers found a loaded sawed-off shotgun, a dart gun, a BB gun, a machete, digital scales, packaging material and evidence of drug trafficking, approximately one gram of methamphetamine, two grams of cocaine and $185. Four of the five people arrested were released without charges, except for an 18-year-old man, who was charged with public mischief, weapon possession (bear spray), and having three outstanding warrants of arrest on charges of breaking and entering, mischief under $5,000, theft under $5,000, failure to attend court and a supervision suspension warrant. He was held in custody and attended court on Sunday morning.
