Nor should she want to.

The Brandon University Bobcats senior delivered the winning kill during the upset of the Canada West women’s volleyball season, a clip replayed more than 40,000 times on Instagram alone as of Tuesday evening.

Burgar was named the Canada West player of the week on Tuesday.

The Sylvan Lake, Alta., native posted 17 kills with just four errors, adding five aces and 15 digs in Saturday’s five-set victory over the country’s No. 2-ranked Fraser Valley Cascades.

She had 13 kills and five digs as Brandon fell 3-1 on Friday in a match that gave BU confidence it could hang around with one of the league’s top teams.

BU (2-12) is back on home court for the next two weekends.

This Friday and Saturday, it hosts the Calgary Dinos (4-12).

The Bobcats entertain the Winnipeg Wesmen (6-8) the following weekend before closing the regular season on the road at Thompson Rivers (10-4).

BU must win at least one against Calgary to keep its playoff hopes alive, and likely needs a sweep as both teams sit outside the 10-team playoff picture.
