Officers were called to a residence in the 1300 block of Eighth Street on Saturday evening after receiving a report of a 25-year-old male who was allegedly getting into altercations with everyone around him. He was reported to have assaulted his girlfriend and two others at the residence while being in a state of intoxication, which officers found was in violation of an earlier court order the accused had received. He was arrested, charged for three counts of assault and was held in detention until sober. He was later released with an undertaking and an April court date.
MAN ARRESTED FOR VIOLATING COURT ORDERS
BPS officers arrested a 25-year-old man early on Sunday morning after receiving a report about his presence at a residence located on Acadia Boulevard. The man was found to be violating a court order prohibiting him from communicating with the female homeowner. He was also subject to four outstanding warrants of arrest and several court order breaches. He was held in detention and attended court on Monday.
FLEEING SUSPECT CAUGHT AFTER PURSUIT
A 37-year-old man was arrested by BPS officers on Sunday afternoon after police received a report about a male with an outstanding arrest warrant being seen at a business on the 1100 block of 18th Street. On seeing the police approach the location, the suspect fled and was seen being picked up by a vehicle at the intersection of 13th Street and Hill Avenue. After a few blocks, the vehicle stopped, and the accused disembarked and started running again. He was caught by officers after a brief pursuit on foot and was taken into custody for resisting arrest. Later, police found that he was also subject to outstanding warrants for sexual assault, assault with a weapon and other serious charges. He was held in detention and attended court on Monday.
