INTOXICATED PEOPLE
Brandon police held a pair of individuals under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act in two separate incidents on Feb. 4.
The first took place on Tuesday, when police on patrol found a highly intoxicated male sleeping in a snowbank in the 1600 block of Pacific Avenue. The man was identified, medically cleared and held in detention cells for release when he became sober.
The second incident took place at 5:05 p.m. on Tuesday, when police received reports of an intoxicated man sitting on a resident’s deck. The public police report did not provide a location. The resident was apparently not at home, but rather viewing the situation through a security camera. The male was arrested, medically cleared and held in a detention cell for release when sober.
BREAKING UP A DISPUTE
A disturbance on Crocus Crescent prompted a call to Brandon police shortly before 11 p.m. on Tuesday. When they arrived, police found two female roommates — a 26-year-old and an 18-year-old — arguing. The intoxicated 26-year-old would not calm down and was taken by police to a detention cell to end the disturbance. She was to be released in the morning when sober.
BREACH OF THE PEACE
Brandon police received reports of a woman screaming in an apartment on the 200 block of 15th Street shortly after at 10 p.m. on Tuesday. When police arrived on scene, they found a highly intoxicated 18-year-old female yelling and screaming uncontrollably. She was arrested and held in a detention cell until sober to prevent further issues.
