First responders will get in free on opening day of the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair.
It’s a salute to western Manitoba’s first responders on March 31, and a way to thank military, police, firefighters and EMS personnel for their dedication, service and sacrifice, Winter Fair organizers said in a release.
Heroes Day honours those who put their lives on the line every day to ensure public safety, the release said.
“Heroes will receive free admission, and their carload will enjoy 50 per cent off gate admission,” it added.
Watch for next Thursday’s edition of the Sun for a comprehensive guide on the Winter Fair, including this year’s entertainment, schedule, price of admision and layout of the Keystone Centre.
The Winter Fair runs from March 31 to April 5.
