Dauphin RCMP are searching for two males who robbed a Main Street business at gunpoint on Saturday.

RCMP were called at about 5 a.m. after two males entered the store, one of them armed with a long gun. They stole cigarettes and fled.

Both males were wearing black-and-white bandanas that covered their faces, black hooded jackets and green rubber gloves.

RCMP say officers and police dogs responded immediately. An employee at the store told them that two male suspects had left and were headed down First Avenue SW.

Officers searched the area, but did not find the two males.

The two employees who were inside the store at the time of the robbery were not physically injured, police said in a news release.

RCMP are asking anyone with information on the robbery to contact the Dauphin detachment at 204-622-5020 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or send a tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
