RCMP are investigating after a fire was set at two businesses in Russell early Saturday morning.
Russell RCMP and local firefighters received a report of vandalism at the A&W and Chicken Chef at around 12:30 a.m.
A piece of asphalt was used to break a window at the A&W, and a fire was set close to the window, RCMP spokesperson Michelle Lissel said.

A bottle was also used to try to break a window and set fire to the Chicken Chef, located next door to the A&W, Lissel said.
There was minimal damage to both buildings. The fire was out when RCMP arrived.
