Regarding “Tories rip NDP over lack of surgeon at BRHC …”
A temporary lack of a surgeon and the PCs freak out. Let’s look back, shall we?
The PC track record is abysmal. It doesn’t matter what your “party loyalty” is, Conservatives have decimated not only our health-care and educational systems under Gary Filmon, but since then it got worse under Brian Pallister and yet our area (Turtle Mountain) continues to vote Conservative.

It begs the question … why? Time to do some self-reflection, don’t you think? Forget about wanting to be “right” and deny the facts. The proof demonstrates otherwise.
To top off the insanity, only 56 per cent of eligible voters turned out in the 2023 provincial election according to Elections Manitoba. That is appalling! Meanwhile, our conservative neighbours to the south voted for a dictator, and he is destroying American democracy. Makes perfect sense. (Sigh).
A report released by the NDP last week said that in two years, the province has added 3,397 new health workers. Across Manitoba, that means 1,653 health-care aides; 1,187 nurses including undergraduate nurse employees (UNE); 285 physicians; 422 allied health professionals; and five midwives.
Since October 2023, we’ve added 3,397 net new health-care workers province-wide — delivering on the promise to staff up health care and build a healthier Manitoba.
