40 YEARS AGO — The WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings acquired right-winger Rod Williams from the New Westminster Bruins.

30 YEARS AGO Stefan Cherneski scored the winner as the Brandon Wheat Kings earned their seventh straight WHL victory, 3-2 over the Seattle Thunderbirds.

20 YEARS AGO — The Brandon Bobcats women’s volleyball team had little trouble disposing of the Minot State-Bottineau Lady Jacks in an exhibition match. First-year middle Erin Visch Krahn led the way for the Bobcats in a 3-0 (30-12, 30-20, 30-14) sweep of the Division II junior college.
