Lucas Gamache recorded 10 kills as the Neelin Spartans swept the Crocus Plainsmen 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-17) in Brandon High School Volleyball League action at Neelin on Wednesday.

Case Ashcroft added seven kills and two aces for the Spartans, who finished the regular season 4-0 and have a bye to the final.

Connor Tannas led the Plainsmen with four kills and four blocks, while Gunnar Tannas had a team-high six kills.

In the JV boys’ match, Neelin won 3-0 (27-25, 25-22, 25-20).

In freshman boys’ action on Wednesday, Massey beat Neelin 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-14).

On Tuesday, Kennedy Hong had seven kills and five aces as the Vincent Massey varsity girls beat the Virden Bears 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-22). Ella VanDaele posted six kills.

Virden won the JV match 3-2 (23-25, 13-25, 25-8, 25-23, 15-11).
