• 40 YEARS AGO Grant Coulter scored 19 points and Rod Tuktaluke added 18 as the Sportsline Shooters downed Shirt Shack 85-83 in the Brandon Senior Men’s Basketball League. Rob Grealey scored 26 points for Shirt Shack.

• 30 YEARS AGO Ted Wood of the Neepawa Natives was named the Manitoba Junior Hockey League player of the week after the 19-year-old Rivers product posted a goal and six assists to help the Natives post a pair of wins.

• 20 YEARS AGO —Brandon native Brett Skinner and former Brandon Wheat Kings defenceman Sven Butenschon scored for the Manitoba Moose in a 2-0 AHL victory over the San Antonio Rampage.

• 10 YEARS AGO Jaedon Cooke of Souris, Ashton Bell of Deloraine, Hannah Fouillard of St. Lazare and Jalyn Elmes of Brandon joined Team Manitoba at the Canadian women’s under-18 championship in Huntsville, Ont.
