Military training exercises will take place in and around Brandon this week, with troops practising rapid deployment and redeployment in an urban environment.
An open house will be also held for a closer look at soldiers and artillery guns.
The Royal Canadian Air Force and the Canadian Army, as well as CFB Shilo, are hosting a variety of events around Brandon.

A CH-146 Griffon helicopter will take part, with flights within city limits.
The helicopter will fly higher than 500 feet above the highest obstacle on the route.
It will be equipped with non-loaded weapons, and ammunition will not be carried. No live ammunition will be used.
As troops move between the Riverbank Discovery Centre and CFB Shilo, military vehicles and troops will also be visible.
CFB Shilo is going to perform training exercises at Rideau Park, Dinsdale Park, Sir Winston Churchill Park and fields outside of Brandon’s Community Sportsplex.
The city park events will take place Thursday and Friday. Training is expected to start at 8 a.m. Thursday and continue until Friday at 2 p.m.
An open house event on Thursday will give residents the chance to meet soldiers, view artillery guns and learn more about the Canadian Armed Forces.
Outside of the open house hours, residents should minimize their engagement with military personnel.
