BRANDON UNIVERSITY

This week is Brandon University’s fall study break, with no classes scheduled in most programs. Regular classes will resume Nov. 17. Additionally, most BU services will be closed for Remembrance Day on Tuesday. The Healthy Living Centre will be open from 1 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Bobcats volleyball teams return home this week to host the University of Manitoba Bisons at the HLC. The women will play at 6 p.m. on Friday, and 5 p.m. on Saturday, with the men following at 7:45 on Friday and 6:45 on Saturday. The BU basketball teams will be in Edmonton to visit the University of Alberta.

The RD Bell Hall in the BU music building will be the site of a Canada Music Week concert on Nov. 22, beginning at 3 p.m. Presented by the Brandon and Westman Registered Music Teachers’ Association, the concert will feature music students from across the region in a celebration of Canadian composers. Admission is by donation.

ASSINIBOINE COLLEGE

Dress for Success — On Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., students can select professional outfits from donated clothing. Find out more at assiniboinestudents.ca/events.

Our college’s Alumni Association is gearing up for our annual Retiree Holiday Coffee Party. This event will be held on Dec. 10 at the Victoria Avenue East campus starting at 9:30 a.m. Find out more at assiniboine.net/events.

Our Cougars volleyball teams host the CMU Blazers on Friday, and the USB Les Rouges on Saturday. All games are at the Victoria Avenue East campus gym. Meanwhile, our women’s hockey team travels to the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota for league play. In most cases, games are available for viewing online.
