Sultan Bhatti was named Canada West men’s basketball player of the week on Tuesday, following two big all-around games.
The Brandon University Bobcats fifth-year from Montreal notched a triple-double in Friday’s 94-74 victory over the Regina Cougars with 20 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists.
He added 18 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and three steals in a 77-62 win the following night.
Bhatti is now fourth in the conference with 19.3 points per game, second with 9.1 rebounds per game and second with 5.8 assists per game.
The Bobcats improved to 5-5, good for fifth place in the 10-team Prairie Division of Canada West.
BU visits Saskatchewan (1-7) this weekend to close the semester.
The Bobcat volleyball teams host the UBC Okanagan Heat this Friday and Saturday.
