40 YEARS AGO — Weldon Rinn scored twice to lead the Virden Howlers to a 4-1 victory over the City Centre Canadians in Shilo and District Men’s Broomball League action. Craig McFadzean and Glen Cantelo added singles for Virden.

30 YEARS AGO — Peter Schaefer scored twice while Jeff Temple, Cory Cyrenne, Bobby Brown and Justin Kurtz had singles as the Wheat Kings downed the Saskatoon Blades 6-5 in WHL action.

20 YEARS AGO — Lee Reimer scored two of Eastman’s three first-period goals as the Selects topped the Zellers AA Wheat Kings 5-3 in Winnipeg AAA Midget City Hockey League action.

10 YEARS AGO — Dylan Ushkowski scored with less than a second remaining in their Westman High School Hockey League game to give the Dauphin Clippers at 2-1 victory over the Crocus Plainsmen at Enns Brothers Arena.
