Dauphin RCMP is asking for the public’s help in finding a pickup truck that they say was involved in a break and enter into a storage facility on Monday.
Dauphin RCMP tried to conduct a traffic stop on a pickup truck on Main Street South on Monday evening, but when the officer turned on the emergency lights, the vehicle drove off, Mounties said in a news release on Friday.
Through an ongoing investigation into a break-in at a storage facility on Whitmore Avenue on Monday, during which several snowmobiles and trailers were stolen, police said they learned that the same pickup truck had been involved.
Officers have now found two of the snowmobiles, which were loaded onto one of the stolen trailers, in a field southwest of Dauphin.
Dauphin RCMP is asking that if anyone sees a red or burnt orange coloured Dodge pickup truck or has any information to contact the detachment at 204-622-5020.
