The 49th edition of Manitoba Ag Days is set to start today at the Keystone Centre in Brandon.
The three-day event, which is set to host 580 exhibitors and more than 80 speakers, opens with a kickoff breakfast from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m.
Canada’s largest indoor farm show has the theme of “Produced on the Prairies” this year.

“The red carpet will be laid out as we prepare to welcome you over the course of the next three days,” the organization said in a news release Monday.
The list of speakers includes Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew, federal Agriculture Minister Heath MacDonald and provincial Agriculture Minister Ron Kostyshyn, whose speeches begin today at around 11 a.m.
Other speakers for the event include entrepreneur Arlene Dickinson, who is set to give a talk at a fireside chat Thursday afternoon, and Dalhousie University Prof. Sylvain Charlebois, who is set to speak this afternoon.
More than 80 speakers are scheduled for the three days on a variety of topics, including best practices for farms, new innovations and the impact of geopolitics on agriculture.
Among other highlights, the Produced on the Prairies Market in the FCC Pavilion, located at the top of the main ramp, will feature 10 different food and beverage vendors each day, and the Innovation Showcase is back with 28 contenders in seven categories.
“This is your chance to see what’s next in agriculture — kick tires, ask your specific questions and consider how your operation could implement these innovations,” the organizers said.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
Single-day tickets and three-day passes can be purchased online at agdays.com/tickets. Tickets are also available on-site during all three days of the show.
