Sultan Bhatti is going out as a Canada West first-team all-star once again.
The Brandon University men’s basketball forward was named to the team for the second straight season on Thursday, while Munroop Gill cracked the all-rookie team.
The duo finished third and fourth in the conference with 20.1 and 17.9 points per game, respectively.
Bhatti was also second in rebounds per game at 10.5 and second in assists at 5.7.
Gill tied for first in steals at 2.3 per game.
The Bobcats lost in the first round of the playoffs last week.
No BU women’s basketball players cracked the all-star teams despite Macaya Copeland (16.6 ppg) and Piper Ingalls (15.9 ppg) finishing third and fifth in the conference, respectively.
Ella Averill led all rookies in scoring with 14.8 points per game — 10th in Canada West — and was ninth overall in rebounds at 7.8 per contest.
In Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference play, BU women’s futsal coach Diego Rodriguez Sr., was named coach of the year on Thursday.
The Bobcats head to Providence for championship weekend on Saturday.
