Kids and adults took part in the Cardboard Box Challenge, presented by Assiniboine College’s Early Childhood Education program, at the college’s Victoria Avenue East campus on Monday. Organizers expected close to 500 kids to take part this year, with a focus on open-ended free play.
Participants were encouraged to use creativity, problem-solving and engineering skills and provided to tools to create anything they liked from cardboard.
The event was aimed primarily at children aged two to seven.
