Mounties arrested a man in Gilbert Plains on Tuesday after receiving a firearms complaint.
Dauphin RCMP responded to the firearms complaint on Minto Avenue East at around 11 a.m.
Mounties advised a nearby school to go under lockdown “out of an abundance of caution” while they dealt with the situation, Dauphin RCMP said in a Facebook post on Tuesday afternoon.
Offices in the area were also temporarily closed.
Police arrested a 46-year-old man and took him into custody at around 12:35 p.m., and shortly after, the school came out of lockdown, RCMP said.
RCMP did not say what the man was charged with or the nature of the complaint.
