A residence on the 300 block of 11th Street was broken into, and mukluks and crystals were stolen.

A business on the 2400 block of Park Avenue was broken into, and several “business-related items” were stolen.

All three remain under investigation.

Stabbing at hotel

The Brandon Police Service is investigating a stabbing at a downtown hotel on Friday.

The Medical Transportation Coordination Centre notified police at around 5:30 p.m. of a woman who had stab wounds on her upper body. An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, BPS said in a news release.

No arrests have been made, and the matter remains under investigation.

Two-vehicle collision

A woman was brought to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision on Friday.

Shortly after 5 p.m., police responded to the collision at the intersection of PTH 100 and Richmond Avenue East.

A woman who was driving one of the vehicles was transported to the hospital for an assessment and treatment of minor injuries, BPS said in a media release. A man who was driving the other vehicle was issued a ticket under the Highway Traffic Act for disobeying a traffic control device.

Assault charges

Two men were arrested Friday for allegedly assaulting women in unrelated incidents.

In the first case, a 72-year-old man was arrested after police were sent to a residence on Goldfinch Crescent.

In the second incident, officers arrested a 27-year-old man after responding to a report of an assault at a residence on the 3700 block of Victoria Avenue.

In neither case did the woman require medical attention, the Brandon Police Service said in a news release.

Both men have been charged with assault.

Assault and mischief

Police arrested a woman on Sunday after she allegedly assaulted another woman.

A woman went to Brandon Police Service headquarters at around 11:10 a.m. and reported a woman had assaulted her while she was giving the suspect a ride somewhere, BPS said in a news release. The woman also said the suspect broke her windshield by punching it from inside the vehicle, police said.

Police arrested a 24-year-old woman and charged her with assault and mischief under $5,000. The woman was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court next month.
