TORONTO – The Toronto Blue Jays placed outfielder Nathan Lukes on the 10-day injured list Saturday due to a hamstring sprain.

Lukes had a leadoff double in Torontos 8-6 loss to the Cleveland Guardians on Friday night. But following a discussion with the club’s trainer and manager John Schneider, Lukes walked off.

Toronto also transferred right-hander Yimi Garcia on the 60-day injured list while selecting outfielder Yohendrick Piñango from Triple-A Buffalo. Piñango hit .288 with three homers and 13 runs-batted in over 22 games at Buffalo.
