Home break-in

Brandon police arrested a 19-year-old woman after she allegedly broke into a house early Wednesday morning.

The Brandon Police Service received a report at around 2:25 a.m. from the homeowners, who said a woman had broken into their home on Queens Crescent and was still there, BPS said in a news release.

Officers arrested the suspect, who was intoxicated, and charged her with breaking and entering, police said.

Police held the woman in BPS detention cells with the intention of releasing her once sober, with a court date scheduled in July.

Domestic violence

Police arrested a woman on Tuesday following an investigation into a domestic violence complaint from last summer.

In February, a man reported several incidents that allegedly took place during the summer of 2025, the Brandon Police Service said in a news release.

Following a consultation with the Crown, police arrested and charged a 31-year-old woman with assault, assault with a weapon, fraudulent use of a credit card and mischief under $5,000.

She was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in July.
