TORONTO – The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled Canadian left-hander Adam Macko from triple-A Buffalo.
The team said Macko will be available for today’s tilt against the Detroit Tigers.
In a corresponding move, Toronto placed right-hander Tommy Nance on the 15-day injured list due to right forearm discomfort.
Macko, 26, has a 4.50 earned-run average with 19 strikeouts in 18 innings for the Buffalo Bisons this season.
The 35-year-old Nance has a 3.86 ERA with 25 strikeouts in 21 innings for the Jays.
