Brandon’s Hunter Oakden and Evan Nachtigall will play for a spot in the Golf Manitoba men’s match play quarterfinals today.

Nachtigall, the No. 2 seed, dropped Oakden’s Team Manitoba teammate Ryder St. Laurent 4 and 3 at Whispering Winds of Warren on Thursday, while 18th seed Oakden dropped Liam Silvaggio 4 and 3.

Brandon’s Nolan Tutkaluk gave defending champion Jordy Lutz a run for his money but fell 2 and 1.

In the senior men’s division, Clear Lake member Ron Cornell took down Ben Bandura 2 and 1 and will play David Kuik today.
