The Brandon Public Library is celebrating “80 years of libraries” in the city with a family event next weekend.
Face painting, storytime, a scavenger hunt, refreshments and crafts are planned for the downtown library at 710 Rosser Ave. starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 27.
Juno Award-winning children’s entertainer Al Simmons will perform at the free event.
The library will be closed on Saturday ahead of time to prepare for the anniversary event.
