A pair of young Brandonites posted top five finishes at Southside Golf Course in Grande Pointe on Saturday in the latest stop of the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour.
Eight-year-old Makayla McLeod of Brandon carded a round of 107 to finish third in the girls 9-10 division, 22 shots back of 10-year-old winner Paulina Brunner of Winnipeg.
Meanwhile, 10-year-old Mason McLeod of Brandon shot 96 to tie for fourth in the boys 9-10 division, nine shots back of 10-year-old winner Levi Penner of Oakbank
The best round of the tournament came from eight-year-old Neven Childerhouse of Winnipeg, who fired a 76 to win the boys U8 division.
