The Sikh Centre of Brandon donated essential food items to the Helping Hands Centre of Brandon.
Members of the Sikh Centre donated bags of flour, sugar and other grocery staples to support individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in the Brandon area.
The donation, which was made last week, reflects the Sikh principles of Seva, or selfless service, and compassion for all, the group stated in a press release.

The groceries were delivered on behalf of the Sikh Centre by Narinderpal Brar, Kulwinder Bathh and Jobanpreet Singh.
The release stated the initiative was part of the organization’s broader mission to give back and support vulnerable residents in Brandon.
“The Sikh Centre of Brandon continues its commitment to community service and supporting those in need,” the release stated. “Together, we can build a stronger and more caring community.”
The centre also expressed appreciation to all members who contributed to the initiative and thanked the Helping Hands Centre of Brandon for its ongoing work assisting people facing hardship.
It stated that collaborative efforts between local organizations can have a meaningful impact on residents in need, particularly as many families continue to face rising food costs and economic challenges.
The donation is one of several community outreach initiatives undertaken by the Sikh Centre of Brandon as it continues to promote service, compassion and community support throughout the city.
