Brayden Hamm of Brandon finished second in the juvenile boys division of a Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour tournament at Selkirk Golf & Country Club on Saturday and Sunday.
Hamm (75-72—147), who is 16, was two shots back of Morden’s Darren Hesom at the MJT Bieber Classic/Sergio Garcia Qualifier.
He was the only Westman golfer at the event, which featured golfers from four provinces. Next up for the MJT in Manitoba is the MJT PLYR Series at Maplewood Golf Course in St. Pierre-Jolys from July 20 to 21.
