The Manitoba Integrated Law Enforcement Team (MILET) seized three long guns after executing a firearms search warrant at a residence on the 3700 block of Centennial Boulevard in Riverheights on Thursday.
A 45-year-old man was arrested and has pending charges, including three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm and three counts of unsafe storage of a firearm, Brandon police said in a news release on Friday.
Police said the man did not have a valid possession and acquisition license. He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 24.
Four other individuals arrested at the scene were released without charges after police interviewed them, the release said.
MILET is a specialized joint police unit combining members of the RCMP and municipal police services in the province.
