A 21-year-old man charged with aggravated assault was granted bail during a hearing in Brandon provincial court on Tuesday.
Judge Patrick Sullivan made the decision on Luke Mathison-Lindsay’s bail application following submissions from the Crown and the defence lawyer.
A publication ban prohibits the Sun from describing any evidence and submissions presented during the hearing, including the judge’s reason for his decision.

Trial dates have not been set for the matter.
Brandon police officers arrested a suspect in connection with an assault of an 18-year-old girl at Brandon University on March 12, police said in a news release at the time.
The girl was transported to a hospital in critical condition, police said.
Police allege an altercation occurred between the two individuals, who were known to each other, and the victim later experienced a medical emergency inside Darrach Hall at the university.
Police said the accused was previously released on an undertaking with multiple conditions.
