MARRIOTT – Mounties say the pilot of a small plane died when it crashed in a rural area in Saskatchewan.
RCMP say the aircraft went down Tuesday near Marriott, about 110 kilometres southwest of Saskatoon.
Police say a man, who was the sole occupant of the plane, was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada says it has sent investigators to the scene.
Police say the Saskatchewan Coroners Service is also involved in the investigation.
RCMP say the man’s family has been notified.
