• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Brandon Farmers’ Market takes place inside The Town Centre (800 Rosser Ave., Brandon). Local fresh produce, baking, jams and jellies, pickling, yarn, bison, beef, beeswax candles, crafts and more.

• 9 a.m. — The RM of Sifton presents the fifth anniversary Golden Harvest Festival at Oak Lake this weekend featuring the Manitoba High School Rodeo, barrel racing, bull riding, team roping, breakaway roping, saddle bronc, axe throwing, canine circus, Dirty Word Custom Car Show, petting zoo, lawn tractor pull, farmer’s market, live entertainment and much more. Today: MHSR kicks off at 9 a.m.

• 6 p.m. — Downtown Cruise Night takes place in downtown Brandon on Rosser Avenue between Sixth Street and 13th Street from 6 to 9 p.m. People wishing to show their vehicles are encouraged to enter the event at the intersection of Rosser Avenue and 13th Street. All vehicles are welcome. Free to participants and spectators. Presented by Brandon & Area Car Enthusiasts (BACE), Kelleher Ford, Cal Jackson of Integral Realty and Off The Wall Signs. • 8 a.m. — Join us at Springhill Colony for a 30 family garage sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Located 5 miles north of Neepawa on Highway 5, 2 miles west on Road 88N. Clothing, housewares, children items, décor, crafts and much more.

• 9 a.m. — Come on down to the Market at the Riverbank from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday until Sept. 26 under the trees, just west of the playground on the Discovery Centre grounds.

• 9 a.m. — Brandon’s Farmers’ Market will be held in The Town Centre parkade every Saturday until noon with in-season produce, baking, jams and jellies, pickles, crafts, candles and more. We will also have eggs and meat. Rain or shine, we’ve got you covered. The last market for the summer will be held Oct. 10.

• Daly House Museum (122 18th St., Brandon) — Built in 1882, original home of Brandon’s first mayor, Thomas Mayne Daly. Artifacts include a collection of late 19th-century and early 20th-century furnishings, First World War memorabilia.

Daly House, in partnership with Keywest Photo Images by Design, present “Between the Cold: Prairie Light for a Wheat City,” a photographic exhibit that explores the spaces that define Prairie life — not the extremes, but the intervals that exist between them. The exhibit features works by Gail Barre, Douglas Fraser, Brian Milne, Rob Lovatt, Katy Martin, Ron Nordstrom, Stino Scaretta and Pat Stone and will be on display until Oct. 1. • Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba (Unit 2, 710 Rosser Ave., Brandon) — Free admission. Manitoba’s oldest centre for visual art and one of Canada’s first since 1907. 2026 Guggenheim Fellow and Sobeys Art Award nominee Jude Griebel will be present for the opening of his exhibition “Peripheral Beings,” on Thursday at 7 p.m. and for a guided tour on Friday at noon. “Unclaimed Memories,” by Danielle Besnard also opening on Thursday at 7 p.m. The artist will be present. Free admission. The AGSM boasts two exhibition spaces, an art school and gift shop that supports more than 70 local Manitoba artists.

• Rural Arts Westman — Rural Arts Westman (RAW) public art exhibition RE/Fenestration has transformed the vacant storefront windows of Brandon’s Town Centre (800 Rosser Ave.) into a walk-through exhibition featuring the work of 15 regional artists. The project reimagines a public space as a place for creativity, reflection and community, inviting visitors to experience contemporary art in an unexpected setting. Exhibition runs until Nov. 28.
