Sam Redekop was named MVP as the Vincent Massey Vikings beat the Mennonite Brethren Hawks 2-1 (18-25, 25-23, 15-13) in the final of the Brandon University varsity boys’ volleyball tournament on Saturday.
Vikings Charlie Gauthier and Jaxsten Hansen-Young joined the Grade 11 setter on the all-star team after they won four straight matches on Saturday.
Massey swept its JV team in the first round of the playoffs, then added 2-0 victories over Crocus Plains and Westwood to reach the final.
