Two people are facing multiple weapons-related charges after firearms were stolen from a residence in the east end of Brandon overnight on Wednesday.
Police were called to the area to investigate and arrested the suspects, who were known to the homeowner, as they were exiting a vehicle downtown, Brandon Police Service said in a news release on Thursday.
Police seized two firearms.
A 40-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were charged with several offences, including theft of a firearm, possession of firearms and possession of firearms while prohibited.
Both suspects were scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
