The alleged incident happened on Oct. 14 and was later reported to the Brandon Police Service, a police spokesperson said on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old woman allegedly threatened the child during an in-person interaction, the spokesperson said. Police wouldn’t provide more details about the incident at this time.
The woman was charged with uttering threats and was released on an undertaking. She is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 29.

The bike was reported stolen on Oct. 9, police said on Wednesday. Officers reviewed video surveillance to help identify a suspect.

WEAPON POSSESSION
A cyclist who was in breach of his court-ordered curfew was found in possession of a weapon in downtown Brandon early Wednesday morning.
Police stopped the 40-year-old man around 2:15 a.m. in the 600 block of Princess Avenue. He was found to be in breach of his 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew and became unco-operative during his arrest, police said.
Officers searched him and found a knife in the pocket of his pants. He was taken into custody and was charged with failing to comply with a release order, resisting arrest and possession of a weapon.
He was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
ROADSIDE PROHIBITIONS
A man who was caught driving while intoxicated in Brandon is facing multiple roadside prohibitions.
On Tuesday shortly before 11 p.m., a concerned citizen reported a driver was weaving on the road before striking a curb twice while turning into a fast-food restaurant parking lot in the 1900 block of Richmond Avenue.
Police arrived at the scene and arrested a 23-year-old man. He was ticketed for having open liquor and had his vehicle seized for 30 days. The man’s driver’s licence was also suspended for 90 days.
BUILDINGS VANDALIZED
A 25-year-old man was arrested for allegedly vandalizing two buildings in Brandon on Tuesday.
Police received a report of spray-paint damage to the exterior walls of a business in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue. A building in the first block of Ninth Street was later found to also have been spray-painted in a similar manner and colour.
Following an investigation, police located a suspect and charged him with mischief under $5,000 in connection with the incidents.
The suspect was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 28.
MOUNTIE CHARGED
WINNIPEG — A Thompson RCMP officer has been charged with aggravated assault after a man was seriously injured during his arrest at a local community centre earlier this month.
Const. Mike McGrath was charged following an investigation into the Oct. 16 incident by the Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba.
McGrath was off duty and in attendance at the Thompson Regional Community Centre when he allegedly attempted to arrest a man for a criminal offence and, during a “physical altercation,” took the man to the ground, the police watchdog said in a news release Wednesday.
The man was taken to Thompson General Hospital, where medical staff confirmed he had a broken arm.
The IIU provided no further comment on the investigation.
