Canadian music legends Barenaked Ladies are coming to Dauphin for the city’s annual Countryfest next summer.

Dauphin’s Countryfest announced the 2027 headliners for the outdoor music festival in a news release Friday.

Barenaked Ladies will headline the first day of the festival — which lands on Canada Day — to “provide a distinctly Canadian soundtrack to the celebration of our nation’s birthday,” the release said.

Nate Smith will lead the country lineup with a return performance after last year’s show was disrupted by a thunderstorm.

“Bringing Nate Smith back to Dauphin was important to us,” Duane McMaster, president of Dauphin’s Countryfest, said in the release. “Last year, the weather cut his performance short, and we know fans were looking forward to hearing more. We’re excited to welcome him back to finish what he started.”

Acclaimed country artists Riley Green and Kip Moore will also be headliners at Canada’s longest-running country music festival, with additional artists to be announced at a later date.

Countryfest members can access tickets from now until Nov. 4. Tickets go on sale for the public on Nov. 6 at 10 a.m.

Next year’s festival runs from July 1-4.
