Dialysis services in Dauphin were restored on Monday after flooding closed the unit at the hospital in early July.

A temporary dialysis unit is set up inside the Community Health Services building while repairs continue at the main hospital, Prairie Mountain Health said in an update in its November Health Plus newsletter.

Patients who have been receiving dialysis treatment in other hospitals across the region should continue their treatments there “until they receive direct instructions from their care team,” the update said.

“Care teams will work with each patient to determine the treatment location that best meets their individual needs,” the update said.

Construction on the Dauphin hospital is still underway, and no timeline for the hospital’s complete reopening has been announced.
