Residents of another Brandon neighbourhood are now eligible to get their COVID-19 vaccinations.
The provincial government updated its website on Thursday afternoon to include Brandon’s East End on the list of communities where any resident aged 18 or older can get vaccinated.
Additionally, people 18 and older working at the following jobs or workplaces within the East End are also eligible:
• K-12 schools
• Child care providers
• Food processing facilities
• Grocery or convenience stores
• Gas stations
• Public health inspectors and workplace health and safety officers
• Anywhere that serves food
In this case, the province defines the East End as any resident living east of First Street within the City of Brandon.
This follows downtown Brandon being added to the list of eligible communities on Wednesday.
Eligible Brandonites can book a vaccination appointment by visiting protectmb.ca or calling 1-844-626-8222.
The Winnipeg neighbourhoods of Inkster West and Fort Garry South as well as Powerview-Pine Falls in the Interlake-Eastern health region were also added to the list of eligible communities on Thursday.
