A significant Canadian delegation is attending today’s state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II in London, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Governor General Mary Simon and several former prime ministers and governors general.

Canadian First Nations, Inuit and Métis leaders are also included in the delegation, along with several Order of Canada recipients taking part in a procession of recipients of national honours.

In addition, members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and representatives of regiments of the Canadian Armed Forces joined uniformed personnel from other Commonwealth countries for the service.

Jean Chretien — former prime minister, Companion to the Order of Canada

Paul Martin — former prime minister, Companion to the Order of Canada

Stephen Harper — former prime minister, Companion to the Order of Canada

RoseAnne Archibald — National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations

Natan Obed — President of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami

Cassidy Caron — President of the Métis National Council

Janice Charette — Clerk of the Privy Council and Secretary to the Cabinet, former High Commissioner for Canada in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland,

Ralph Goodale — High Commissioner for Canada to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
