A Brandon teenager faces drug possession charges after he was allegedly found stashing cocaine inside mechanical pencils.
Police were called by the teen’s caregivers, who had uncovered the drugs. Officers confiscated the cocaine, estimated to be worth about $200 and took the boy into custody.
The 16-year-old suspect, who has been charged with possession of cocaine, has been released under a number of conditions, to appear in court in April.
