Award-winning comedian Ron James is slamming the brakes on his Pedal to the Medal tour for a stop at Brandon’s Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium early next year.
Hailed by critics from coast to coast, James has consistently sold out theatres across the country with his legendary live performances.
Tickets for the Feb. 25 show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. They’re available at wmca.ca, by phone at 204-728-9510, or in person at 205 20th St.

Unshackled by network constraints and corporate oversight, and with a comedian’s eye for satire and a poet’s ear for language, James cuts a wide swath through contemporary culture with a razor sharp wit and machine-gun delivery, making him a standout among standup performers.
James recently garnered a Canadian Screen Award nomination for best performance by an actor for “The Ron James Show,” which recently wrapped production after five successful seasons on CBC-TV.
He is also known for his previous series “Blackfly” and his seven top-rated standup specials, including “Quest for the West,” “West Coast Wild,” “Back Home” and “Manitoba Bound.”
James tours across Canada regularly, playing more than 70 sold-out dates a year.
