Hey there, time traveller!

The Brandon School Division has named Mathew Gustafson as its new additional assistant superintendent.
Gustafson, who is currently the principal at Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School and previously principal at both Betty Gibson School and Vincent Massey High School, will start his new position on Aug. 11.
“He brings to this position considerable vocational and educational experience with a strong dedication and commitment to children and young people and the advancement of quality public education for all students,” the division said in a news release.
Gustafson graduated from Deloraine Collegiate and then went on to obtain his farm machinery diploma and heavy duty equipment technician apprenticeship before starting a career in education.
He has been a BSD employee since 2002 and holds a bachelor of science degree, bachelor of education degree and a masters of education degree, all from Brandon University.
The additional assistant superintendent position was added and approved by the board of trustees during 2015-16 budget deliberations in March.
Gustafson will join current Supt. Donna Michaels and associate superintendent Greg Malazdrewicz in the office of the superintendent.
There has been no word yet as to who will replace Gustafson as principal at Crocus Plains.
