Students in the police studies program at Assiniboine Community College welcomed family, friends and dignitaries for their final inspection and drill ceremony at the college’s Victoria Avenue East Campus in Brandon on Friday.

All 16 students will be formally graduating from the program this June at the Brandon graduation ceremony.

The eight-month certificate program teaches many aspects of policing, including procedures, physical training, conflict management, community policing, interviewing and investigating. Graduates of the program find careers with municipal, rural and aboriginal police services as well as with security firms and within corrections.
