Parkdale Park has a spanking new play structure for kids from throughout the city.
Installation of the interactive play structure and five accompanying park benches, located at 201 Durum Dr. in the Linden Lanes ward, began earlier this week and was completed on Thursday.
Funds for the new structure were provided for within the 2015 parks and recreation budget, according to a news release from the City of Brandon’s community services department.
The new structure was ordered from and installed by Playgrounds R Us out of Winnipeg and features, among other things, a zipline, Omni Spinner and boogie board.
Community services staff inspected the existing wooden play structure in the park and concluded it remains for public use.
The public is encouraged to use the on-street parking available in the area and access the park via walking pathways.
All members of the public are welcome to use Parkdale Park’s newest play feature.
