“In terms of being a good corporate citizen and a good citizen of Brandon, Manitoba I think Craig was top-notch,” said Brandon Chamber of Commerce president Jordan Ludwig.

“The whole Pardy family —just fantastic community citizens, huge supporters of local charities and overall, I don’t think anybody has an ill word to say about him or his family.”

“What’s most tragic is that the world has lost a genuinely great man,” said Brenda Rust, speaking on behalf of her family, who were close friends with Pardy.

“He would do anything for anyone, and his family and friends were the most important thing in his life. There are no words to describe how much we will miss him.”

Pardy’s funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Century United Church.
