Hey there, time traveller!

Bullets have hit another home in Brandon — two houses down from the Lorne Avenue East residence punctured by the spraying of 30 bullets last month.
A neighbour who did not want her name used said she was awoken by the sound of gunfire early Monday morning. The bullets were aimed at a home that is for sale in the 300 block of Russell Street.
“I’ve been a longtime resident of this area, but I’m very scared,” she said. “I’m not comfortable at all, not with them carrying high-powered weapons.”
The sound she heard, first at 4:10 a.m. and again at approximately 5:20 p.m., was unmistakable. She heard it two weeks ago when a nearby home on Lorne Avenue East was riddled with bullets one afternoon.
“From hearing what I heard the Sunday before, I knew exactly what it was and I hit the floor.”
Brandon Police Service Staff Sgt. Greg Hebert confirmed Monday night that shots were fired at a home in the city’s east end, but wouldn’t elaborate. He said no one is in custody and more information would be released later that night or today.
The Brandon Sun noticed two of the front windows of the Russell Street home were punctured with a bullet. Police had also flagged a spot on the floor of the front deck.
“The house is empty and for sale,” said the woman. “That’s why it’s so bizarre.”
She said police had barricaded a section of the road until the late afternoon Monday.
This Russell Street home is situated diagonally — two houses away — from a Lorne Avenue East home that was shot up on Sept. 25.
Brandon has faced a spate of shootings in recent weeks. There was a downtown shooting on Sept. 24, where the accused faces an attempted murder charge, and an incident a weekend earlier involving the firing of a sawed-off shotgun at a home on the 800 block of Ninth Street.
