TiVo has arrived at Westman Communications Group.

“Westman’s TiVo service brings to western Manitoba the most viewing options from live TV and OTT applications all on one set top box, enabling more content for customers to enjoy while enhancing their TV viewing experience,” WCG’s chief marketing officer John Quail said.

“No more switching devices, toggling inputs or juggling remotes. Whether it’s live, on demand, or on OTT apps such as Netflix or YouTube, TiVo finds it and collects every available episode in a way that’s easily searchable and hassle-free. A neat and forward-thinking feature is the Netflix button that is built into the remote, making Netflix just one click away. Features of the TiVo service work intelligently to make the viewer’s experience easier and more enjoyable.”

While other PVRs collect only the selected recording, TiVo allows you to create a OnePassTM, which searches and collects every episode by season wherever it can be found now or in the future and stores them all in your OnePassTM folder. If a show or movie you’re searching for isn’t available yet, it can be added it to a “wish list” folder and TiVo will automatically record it for you whenever it comes on.

Customers will be able to record or watch up to six shows at once, and with one terabyte of storage, they can store up to 500 hours of TV, making concerns over having enough recording space a thing of the past.

Plus, with its Suggestions feature, TiVo picks up on your likes and dislikes over time based on your viewing habits and records shows it thinks you might like, so you can spend less time searching for new content, and more time enjoying it.These suggestions never take storage space priority over set recordings.

TiVo’s “What to Watch Now” feature and interactive programming guide allows users to filter and search the guide based on what the viewer is interested in at the moment, such as movies, popular TV, sports & more. It also includes a rich, poster art guide, parental controls, on-screen apps & games, and personalized programming, all at your fingertips with the remote control.

Customers will also be able to watch recorded content or live TV anywhere in the home on your mobile devices and take your recordings on the go. And if you forget to schedule a recording, the app allows you to manage your account wherever you are.
