Five people have been arrested in a raid and related traffic stops that netted guns and drugs.
Police issued a release on Wednesday stating that the arrests were made on Tuesday. As part of an ongoing investigation, they searched a home on the 200 block of Rosser Avenue East.
As a result of traffic stops and a search of the home, police seized a loaded sawed-off semi-automatic shotgun, an ammunition belt that held 14 12-gauge shotgun shells, a .22-calibre handgun with a “banana-style” clip and two rounds, two cans of bear spray, 16 .32-calibre rifle cartridges and 80 grams of marijuana.

In total, 20 Criminal Code and drug charges were laid and four arrest warrants executed.
A 27-year-old Brandon man is charged with various weapon offences, including unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and with failing to attend court.
A 24-year-old Winnipeg man is also charged with weapon offences that include unsafe storage of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.
Both of those suspects were held in custody to appear in court on Wednesday.
A 19-year-old Brandon woman was also arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. That woman, also arrested on a warrant for theft, was released to appear in court in June.
A 16-year-old Brandon female youth is charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, unsafe storage of ammunition and arrested on a warrant for assault with a weapon. She was released to appear in court in June.
A 26-year-old Griswold man was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for breach of probation. He was released to appear in court in July.
